Dr Waqar Masood appointed SAPM on Revenue

Prime Minister Imran Khan, on October 5, appointed renowned economist and former Finance Secretary, Dr Waqar Masood Khan, as his Special Assistant on Revenue, according to the official sources 

Hailing from a famous sporting family, Dr Waqar Masood has been granted the status of Minister of State, the PM Office said. 

Having done PhD in Economics and Masters in Political Economy from Boston University Massachusetts, USA, and Masters in Economics and LLB from Karachi University, he has had loads of experience of working with both public and private sectors. 

His nephew, Shan Masood, is the leading opening batsman of Pakistan’s cricket team, having been talked about as the future captain of the country. 

Dr Waqar Masood himself has been an active cricketer and patron of the game. He’s a founding member of the Rangers Cricket Club, which is acclaimed as the oldest cricket clubs of the country.
