The ruling Communist Party of China has donated 54,000 face masks to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) as prevention against the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The masks were handed over to Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on October 5.
He expressed gratitude to the Chinese officials for the humanitarian gesture, saying the way China has helped the world in overcoming the challenge of COVID-19 was commendable.
He said that China’s support to Pakistan during the pandemic was reflective of the long standing strong friendship between the two countries.
