Pakistan gets positive response from China on locust handling

Pakistan has received positive response from China for cooperation in agriculture sector including locust handling. 

This was revealed in a tweet from the Chairman of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) authority and Prime Minister’ Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting, Lt Gen (retired), Asim Saleem Bajwa, on May 3. 

It said that the first joint working group meeting on agriculture with the Chinese counterpart got positive response for cooperation on locust handling, pest control, use of latest technology, germ plasma for certified seeds, use of agriculture machinery and training of agri-human resource. 

The meeting also focused on enhancing yield and food security
