  1. Dear friends of the Adab-o-Kutub Khana,

    Salaam o Rehmat.

It is a pure delight and treat to have been introduced to this forum. I have had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Ghani-ul-Akram Sabzwari as his associate for the Pakistani Library Bulletin decades back. He has been a source of inspiration for me and many seekers of knowledge like me. An unassuming person, a saintly scholar, who has devoted his life for the promotion of knowledge by training, and teaching a generation the art, science and skill to preserve it. I compliment D. Nasim Fatima, Dr. Nasreen Shagufta and many others, who have teamed up as patrons like Mr. Abdul Wahab Khan Saleem, or co-workers to establish the Bazm-e-Akram. I am sure this team is setting an example for the future generations to acknowledge and express their gratitude and indebtedness to those who are leaving behind them a rich heritage of service to the cause of knowledge. Through this brief message, I am conveying my profound sense of appreciation, respect and regards to all those who have made up this caravan.
    Sincerely,
