New KMC Administrator vows to complete flyovers construction by June 30

The newly appointed Administrator of the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC), Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi, has vowed to complete the ongoing infrastructure projects swiftly to meet the deadline of June 30.

   

He issued the directive while visiting the construction sites of the Teen Hati Flyover and the Dakhana Flyover on Shahrah-e-Pakistan where he was accompanied by Director General Technical Services Altaf G Memon, Project Directors, concerned engineers and other officers. 

He also directed to plant more trees on Shahrah-e-Pakistan, S M Taufeeq Road and Jahangir Road to make the corridor beautiful and attractive. The KMC Administrator inquired about the pace of construction works and issued the necessary directives to get them completed at a brisk pace. 

He emphasized that since these development projects were started in public interest therefore they should be completed in stipulated time and in this connection no negligence should be tolerated. 

Hashim Raza, who is also the Commissioner of Karachi, advised that the standard of material in construction should be carefully considered so that these projects would be well-built and citizens could avail them for a long time. 

After the construction of Corridor-V, the traffic of Martin Road, Liaquatabad, Lasbella, PIB Colony, Nazimabad, Azizabad, Ancholi, Karimabad and traffic moving towards Super Highway would be facilitated.
