Patti has been associated with Computer Skills since the early 1990s. He is the son of Dom Patti, the previous owner of the company. He did Bachelor of Computing at Monash University in 1996 before joining the IT department at Coles Myer where he was involved with the Data Warehouse system development and support for four years. 

He then switched over to the field of IT recruitment, devoting all his energies solely at Computer Skills since 2000.
