PEC Chairman pays rich tribute to late Z A Nizami

The Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Engr Syed Abdul Qadir Shah, visited the residence of Engr Z A Nizami, the late Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, on April 9.

   

He met the family members of Engr Nizami and offered his heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of what he called a great lover of human beings and a true follower of the great educationist and reformer Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. 

Engr Abdul Qadir Shah paid rich tributes to Engr Nizami remembering him as an outstanding planner and educationist. He observed that the PEC, as an epoch-making body of engineers, greatly admired the services of the late Mr Nizami who was also an engineer. 

He particularly recalled Engr Nizami’s services towards the development of Karachi and the establishment of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology from the platform of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA), which is currently producing hundreds of engineers in various disciplines. 

Engr Abdul Qadir Shah said that the PEC used to seek advice from the late Mr Nizami on various engineering-related issues and the Council has all the admiration for him. The PEC Chairman offered Fateha and prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to bereaved family to bear an irreparable loss.
