ICMAP networking event brings together top industry professionals

The ICMAP Annual HR Networking dinner held at Hotel Marriott, Karachi, on September 20 turned out to be a largely attended gathering of top professionals who remained absorbed in an enlightening session of more than three hours.

The event was organized by the Corporate Relations and Communication (CRC) department of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants, Pakistan, (ICMAP), and its basic purpose was to bring together the personnel of the Human Resource Management (HRM) divisions of various corporations. 

The presentations made by Eram Irfan Khan about youth facing problems in interviews and the one about the HR issues by Amin Nasrullah were highly educative and informative for the audience as were the speeches from Mian Zahid Hussain and Dr Amjad Waheed. 

Khalil Ahmed, Director, ICMAP, South, delivered inspirational messages in between the various segments while Sanam Hussain, an officer of the ICMAP’s CRC department conducted the proceedings in a highly impressive manner.

During the seminar the various speakers and trainers were of the opinion that the companies should be encouraged to establish working relationship with the educational institutions like the ICMAP, which train their students to meet the challenges of professional life. 

It was also pointed out that the companies seeking registration with the Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) needed to have their Directors trained at the ICMAP. 

It was noted that the services being provided by the ICMAP and their enthusiasm were assets for the corporate sector who was advised to to reciprocate by supporting the ICMAP in their initiatives aimed at creating more jobs and producing skilled professionals. 

The high attendance in the seminar and its excellent organization reflected the dedication of the organizers and it also showed that the corporate sector needed such interactive and informative sessions.
